Our approach
We want switchu.ca to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to align this site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. That is a goal we build toward with every page — an ongoing commitment, not a certification, and we do not claim the site has been independently audited for compliance.
What we do in practice
- Semantic HTML — pages are structured with proper headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can navigate them.
- Keyboard navigation — menus, forms, and interactive elements are designed to work without a mouse, with visible focus states.
- A contrast-checked palette — our text and background colors are chosen with contrast in mind.
- Alternative text for meaningful images.
